PDIDA and its community and corporate partners will be creating special events, activities and promotions that are open to the public and encourage people from across the region to come explore the Pottstown Community. Below is information on special events and information on what’s happening. If you would like to use downtown Pottstown for a community event or partner with us on an activity to promote the business district, please feel free to contact us. To see the many other events happening downtown, please click the event calendar link on the left menu.

First Saturday Summer Events

Starting in May, High Street in downtown Pottstown is alive with music, vendors, and more! The first Saturday in every month through the summer is the time to be in Smith Family Plaza in the 100 block at noon. Listen to live music and browse stands selling crafts, arts, and community information.

From June to September, stay in downtown after the music for some shopping or walking on the Schuylkill River Trail, so you are here for the one of the biggest classic car shows on the east coast. Organized by the Pottstown Classics Car Club, the classic car shows fill High Street and several side streets from curb to curb with hundreds of classic cars. The best thing is that all events on First Saturdays are free to attend, with only a small fee to have a vendor booth or to display your classic car. So, make every First Saturday a day to be downtown this summer!

Fall's Schuylkill River Festival

This October is the time to start fall with the annual Schuykill River Festival. This event fills the entirety of Riverfront Park and the MCCC Arts Center with hundreds of fun, family activities, food, entertainment, and art, celebrating the cultures and life along the Schuylkill River. Every year, the festival gets bigger, so join us for this event. Check back to this web page for more details later this year.
